Our 2023 students in numbers

We’re excited that 84 young people will begin their final year at high school as our newest cohort of First Foundation scholars. They’ll have the support to set themselves up for success at university and for life.

This year’s scholars have been drawn from throughout the country, across ethnicities and with ambitions in all sorts of fields. Most of them will be the first in their families to reach university, and all of them face barriers to getting there. You’ll find a snapshot of our 2023 scholars below. The students who get through our application process are outstanding. They are academically gifted and have proven their mettle by overcoming challenges many of us have never experienced.
