First Foundation’s 2025 Annual Report, Inspiring Confidence, is now live and ready to read.

As one scholar shared, “Without this scholarship, I wouldn’t even be in the degree I’m in now.” Their words capture what your backing achieves: it turns “why not me?” into “how can I help?”

Your support is helping First Foundation grow into a stronger, more confident organisation. A lift in grants, donations and long-term pledges underpins bold plans for the future and our commitment to greater impact. New data systems and real-time dashboards are sharpening insights, so each scholar can receive more tailored support at the moments that matter most.

You’ll also read how programme innovations are creating richer opportunities and pathways for scholars. A novel approach to the world of work gives scholars meaningful experiences and new roles in our alumni network is growing its strength.

Despite this hard-won momentum, rising demand shaped our year. Scholarship applications increased, with 814 young people seeking support and 274 meeting our criteria for need. Yet we could only offer 91 scholarships. It’s a clear reminder that together we have much more potential still to unlock.
