Giving back

For Martin La’a, a successful career means paying it forward and helping others.

After being awarded a First Foundation scholarship in 2005, Martin began work experience with his scholarship partner Spark while studying at university. He went on to become Spark’s youngest and first of Samoan descent to be a regional manager at age 24.

With financial stability and a wealth of career opportunities through Spark, Martin has been able to travel overseas to help under-privileged children and support his mum to retire early.

Find out more about Martin’s journey through the First Foundation programme in his Impact Report.
