At school Lorna was known as an extremely
impressive young woman with the enthusiasm, creativity and
intellect to make her one of the top students. Academically,
Lorna's efforts were recognised with awards for Academic Excellence
in Years 9, 11 and 12. In 2009 she was awarded Top Yr 12 Academic
Student.
Lorna's enthusiasm for the Arts was evident through her involvement
in school productions since Yr 9, both backstage and as a cast
member. Lorna was an avid dancer, actor and singer. Additionally,
2010 saw her with the opportunity to be a Youth Parliamentarian for
the Canterbury region.
Lorna enrolled in a conjoint programme of Arts and Law through
The University of Canterbury. In 2013 Lorna set up a
small business called Blue belle Bakery and she sells her
products at the local Farmers Market.
She has since realised that this is her passion and has
enrolled at CPIT to study for a national Certificate
in Baking and completed a National Certificate in baking and
is currentlya Pastry Chef in a Christchurch
Restuarant.
