Lina described herself as a determined and committed student who
was always willing to take on a challenge. Her parents moved from
Samoa to New Zealand to with the desire to create a different
future for their five children. Lina shows a desire to achieve and
harness this opportunity for success through education and
vocation.
Alongside her academic timetable, Lina was also a keen
sportswoman. In 2012. She was selected to play for her school
Girls' First 15 Rugby team and also the Girls' Rugby 7's team.
Outside of school Lina was involved in the community and an active
participant in her Youth Group and Church outreach.
At Onehunga High School, Lina's teachers described her as
empathetic and personable. Her Yr 13 Dean wrote, 'She works well
with others and motivates and encourages her peers in group tasks.
Lina is reliable, committed and dedicated to her studies.' Lina's
qualities and attributes correspond well with her desire to have a
career in Health.
Lina graduted with a B Nursing from AUT in 2016 and is currently
nursing at the Auckland DHB.
