Compassion for others, a mature work ethic and academic
capabilities are standout features of Latoya's character. Her
Scholarship Partner Auckland DHB Charitable Trust noticed Latoya as
'a passionate, determined young woman who is seeking a health
career that ensures she works with people.'
'Outside the classroom, Latoya's extracurricular and community
involvement was widespread. From volunteering with disability
groups, participating in school sports and cultural groups to being
a part of her church youth choir. This to me shows a young woman
who is determined to make a positive difference in not only her
life but in other's lives too,' wrote her Yr 13 Dean at McAuley.
This young woman was the Samoan group leader for her school in
2012.
