DEPUTY HEAD BOY, 2015
Kiwa was the Year 12 Head Prefect at Aranui High School in 2014 and
is currently 2015 Deputy Head Boy. He has also achieved
NCEA Levels 1 and 2 with Excellence, having been awarded the
Ferrand Cup for Top Academic Achiever in Year 11 and received
a Certificate for entry into the Brain Bee Competition in 2013,
where he got through to the semi-finals. Kiwa was also awarded the
prize for Top Achiever in Year 11 and Top Student in Science and
History.
Kiwa has represented his school at inter-school competitions for
Chemistry and the Annual Big Biology quiz. He has also participated
in Kapa Haka and performed at the Annual Aranui Affirm and
Christchurch cultural festivals. In his space time he enjoys
photography, travelling, writing poetry and listening to
music.

Kiwa plans to attend Otago University to study Medicine with the
goal of becoming a General Practitioner. He will be the first
in his family to carry on to tertiary education.
