Kevin can be described as a quietly ambitious, articulate and
focused goal setter. He is a high achiever with the work ethic to
match. In 2010 he placed first in each of his five subjects,
achieved NCEA Level 1 with Excellence endorsed and was named Yr 11
Dux.
Managing a tight schedule with his serious academic goals, school
commitments and active community involvement, Kevin's participates
in activities such as rugby and debating. Leadership development
programmes have nurtured in him talents that cause Kevin to be a
stand out youth. Proudly playing in De La Salle's first XV Rugby
team, Kevin was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2010.
Kevin wants to study Law at The University of Auckland. His
aspiration and determination to become a Solicitor impressed
Fletcher Aluminium. We saw that "Kevin knew what he wanted and how
he was going to get it - to become a solicitor and a proud Pacific
Island solicitor at that," said Joanne Tuese, HR Consultant,
Fletcher Aluminium. Kevin's commitment to his Samoan
community and to his family is strong and he intends on helping
others with his career.
