Throughout her time at Kamo High School, Jessica remained an
active participant in many facets of school life. Her
involvement included contributing to the running of a Whanau
system at school, membership on the Sports Council, playing in the
First XI soccer team and participation in a leadership programme to
develop her natural skills in this field.
Jessica has always been academically strong in the Sciences and
along with awards of recognition for excellent all-round effort,
her school awarded her a prize for her achievements in Science in
her Year 11. This ability, joined with her volunteer work at the
SPCA has led to pursuing training in Veterinary Science. With the
added pressures of living away from home Jessica's resilience is
enabled her to currently study through Massey University in
Palmerston North.
Jessica completed a BSc and a BVT (Bachelor of Veterinary
Technology) at the end of 2015 and is heading back to Massey for
three months to work as a locum technologist
