Irihaapeti Tewhata

SCHOOL: Kamo High School


Irihaapeti was Head Girl in Year 13, an active member of the school's Netball team where she was Captain from Years 9 through to 12, and also took on a coaching role.  Iriaapeti has also been heavily involved in the school's Kapa Haka team where she has developed her public speaking and performing skills, and received a Year 12 Special Award for fair play and sportsmanship.

In her spare time Irihaapeti enjoys babysitting, netball and coaching.

Irihaapeti is planning to become a Primary School Teacher and has commenced a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at The University of Auckland TaiTokerau Campus in Whangarei.  She is the first in her family of ten to attend University.
