Former Mt Roskill Grammar School student Ipshita has certainly
come a long way since becoming a First Foundation Scholar in 2006.
Ipshita possesses a superb intellect and graduated from Auckland
University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Technology majoring in
Biotechnology.
In 2011 Ipshita was nominated and selected by the Department of
Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at University of
Cambridge to receive an EPSRC International Doctoral Scholarship.
This scholarship will pay her fees and living expenses while
studying for a PhD in Bioscience Engineering at the university. She
subsequently applied for and won a Prince of Wales Cambridge
Scholarship through the New Zealand Vice Chancellor's Committee
which will cover the difference between home and international
fees.
Ipshita acknowledges the support of her Scholarship Partner
Douglas Pharmaceuticals and the First Foundation family as being
pivotal in her journey to Cambridge. She says "I will always
remember what First Foundation has given to me, and cannot wait to
develop myself into an individual able to contribute back to this
ecosystem and the NZ economy."
Doing well in Cambridge, Ipshita's latest accomplishment is
becoming co-Founder and President of Global Biotech Revolution
