HEAD GIRL, 2014
Hinemoa migrated to New Zealand with her family in 2005. She
is the second youngest of eight children.
Her year 12 Dean said, " Hinemoa has a wealth of leadership skills
- our students will follow her anywhere". Hinemoa was
Head Girl.
She is multi-lingual, fluent in her own Tongan language and
culture and is a Kapa Haka leader and also studied Te
Reo, where she has achieved level 1 and 2 excellent
endorsements.
Hinemoa was an outstanding student who applied herself
conscientiously to her studies, and this was reflected with overall
excellence endorsement at Level 1, 2 and 3.
Hinemoa impressed both the Fletcher Building interviewers from the
outset with her warm, personable approach to the interview while
also demonstrating a clear vision for her future and her career.
Her extra-curricular involvement in local community initiatives
showed that she is prepared to go the extra mile to make a
difference.
Hinemoa is currently at The University of Auckland studying for
a BA, double major in Korean / Theological and Religious Studies.
After she has graduated mid year 2018, Hinemoa intends to complete
one year at the Epsom Campus and then travel to Korea for
more teaching experience
