As an impressive and hard working student at school, he
persisted despite the overwhelming challenge of having to cope with
the death of his father in 2005. In Yr 12 he was already studying
for some NCEA Level 3 subjects. He showed talent as a sportsman,
namely winning medals in the secondary schools Olympic
Weightlifting competition and coming 1st secondary schools Pool
competition in 2005. He also displayed both creative and leadership
skills.
Harold worked in many different organisational units within
Westpac and gained valuable exposure to the business world.
He graduated from Unitec with a degree in Architecture in 2010.
Gaining a degree has meant that Harold's has fulfilled his goal of
becoming the first member of his family to complete tertiary study.
Harold completed a Masters in Architecture and, as a part of
this, engaged in 400 hours of architectural work
experience.
He is currently an Architectural graduate at Matyas Architects in
Victoria, Australia.
