It has been Haley's long-time goal to be the first in her family
to go to University. A successful NCEA student, the Student
Leadership Coordinator at Taita College described Haley as "an
exceptionally hard-working young lady who is determined to achieve
in all aspects of her life. Haley leads by example."
Haley's determination to succeed also spilled over into many
extracurricular activities. When she took part in the Project K
programme she was voted Outstanding Student and went on to be one
of 9 regional winners. Among other sports, Haley has been dancing
competitively for nine years, during which she has picked up over
55 titles.
Haley has developed a strong portfolio of work experience
through the Hutt City Council. When interviewing Haley, along with
her all-round ability they were drawn to her positive attitude and
drive.
She graduated in 2012 with Bachelor of Communications from Massey
University's Wellington Campus and then worked at Victoria
University of Wellington as a Communications Assistant.
Hayley is currently Community Champion for Z Energy where
she coordinates the Good in the Hood campaign, skilled
volunteering programme, manage sponsorship requests and help
implement initiatives that support their community stand.
In her spare time she is secretary of the New
Zealand Rock'n'Roll Association and mentors a student through
Project K.
