DEPUTY HEAD GIRL, 2009
At the time that Gloria was selected for an A+ Trust First
Foundation Scholarship, she was an active member of One Tree
College - including being their Deputy Head Girl in 2009. Gloria
stood out as an all-rounder, being involved with a range of sports,
Fijian cultural dance and other performance groups, while keeping
up to date with her studies. With natural leadership qualities,
Gloria stood out as an excellent role model for her family and
peers.
Gloria is the first in her family to further her education
with tertiary studies and complete at degree at University. Her
keen interest in Netball and her love of Sport and Biology guided
her towards studying for a degree in Sport and Recreation at AUT
which she completed in 2014 with a double major in Sport and
Exercise Science and Nutrition and Physical
Activity. Whilst at university Gloria modelled, came
first in the Miss Earth NZ 2012 competition and worked as part time
coordinator for the Maori Health organisation, Te Hononga o Tamaki
me Hoturoa.
Gloria icompleted a post graduate Diploma in Public
Health whilst working as a flight attendant and actress. She
is currently working at Auckland University of Technology as
a Reasearch / Teaching Assistant
