Achieving highly in a range of subjects at secondary school,
Geeta proved to be a student of outstanding calibre. Throughout
school Geeta was also recognised for her service and contribution
to the local community. In the year that she applied to become a
First Foundation Scholar she received a Mangere Refugee Centre
volunteer award and the Coronation Scholarship for service.
Geeta speaks highly of the First Foundation scholarship programme;
"I gained confidence through the mentoring and the work experience.
I collated transferable business skills that are very valuable to
me now."
Geeta went on to study at The University of Auckland and graduated
with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2004. In 2005 she stepped up
into a role as Business Analyst within the Technology team at
Vodafone and 2013 she joined Telecom New Zealand
as a Business Analyst.
Geeta and her husband started their own consultancy
company, PopCaughan Consulting LTD and in January 2014
Geeta commenced work at Air New Zealand as a Business
Analyst in the Mobile App team.
