Originating in Afghanistan and landing in New Zealand as a
refugee she has taken leadership roles in her School as a Mediator;
an Academic Mentor and as part of the CAPT (Cross Age Peer
Tutoring) team and is a 2015 House Captain. She
received a Blue House award from School and is part of Mount
Roskill's Amnesty International programme.

Recently she organised the annual School Blood donation day and
actively supports the Twinkle Child Foundation.
Freshteh plans on attending Auckland University to become a
Teacher.
