Fonoifafo comes from a family of nine and is the first to
attend university. At school she was known as a natural leader and
a good communicator. Fonoifafo is passionate about making a
difference.
"Fono is a bubbly student who loves to build rapport with everyone
around her. She is a pleasant student to teach and is consistent in
producing good work," says her Principal. At school her activities
included Peer Support leader, sports woman, a key Cultural Group
leader, School Ball Committee leader, Health Council member and
committed school librarian.
Fonoifafo completed the work experience element of her scholarship
with Fishpond and was one of the inaugural Glenn Family Foundation
Scholars.
"I am determined to make a change in not only my family, but also
in the community and within myself."
Fonoifafo completed a Bachelor of Nursing from MIT in 2015
and is a Public Health Nurse for Counties Manukau.
"The First Foundation will really help me pursue a career. It will
mean a promising future for me and my family."
