It is five years since Fofoa and her family left Samoa and
arrived in New Zealand in search of a better future for Fofoa and
her three siblings. Fofoa is committed to working towards that
future and in 2016 was made a Prefect.
She was described by Onehunga High School Principal Deirdre Shea
as one of the school's "hardest working and most successful Year 12
students". She received awards for Outstanding Effort in Level One
Physical Education, Level One Mathematics and Level One English.
She also received a special award for perfect attendance.
Sport is a major part of Fofoa's life. She plays basketball,
kilikiti, netball and volleyball. She was on the Sport Leadership
Group and the Sports Council.
In keeping with her parents' dreams, she will be the first in her
family to study at University.
