"In the future I want to feel in myself that I have not
wasted my life, taken all opportunities and achieved the best of my
ability," so wrote Daniel in his scholarship application in 2002.
An outstanding sportsman and the Top Academic student at school, he
has always been destined to achieve.
During his scholarship Daniel developed a strong
relationship with his Mentor James Elliot and this was
influential in his decision to undertake a conjoint Law and Arts
degree (BA/LLB (Hons)) at The University of Auckland. Now several
years out of the First Foundation programme, Daniel and James
continue to meet. Daniel is also a current First Foundation
mentor.
Daniel has now transitioned into full time work with Chapman
Tripp; one of New Zealand's pre-eminent law firms. Daniel's role
within the company continues to challenge and extend him as he aims
to complete his goals.
