Bo Yun's conscientious attitude and attention to her studies was
reflected in her high level academic results at high school. She
was awarded a High Distinction Award in her Yr 11 for excellent
work ethic and also received Academic Excellence awards for Human
Biology, Algebra, Geography and Physical Education. Aptly, she was
a member of the school's Gifted and Talented group for 2009. Her
volunteer involvement in her Church activities and local rest home
revealed her community focus.
The Year 12 Dean at Auckland Girl's Grammar School recognised her
as 'an extremely hardworking student who uses her initiative; she
works independently or as an effective group member when
necessary.'
These attributes bode well for Bo Yun in her choice to study
Nursing at The University of Auckland and in 2013 she graduated
with a Bachelor of Nursing. She has currently completed the
new graduate programme, NETP, and after 2-3 years gaining
experience in the health industry, she sees herself working to
establish health clinics in underdeveloped communities; using her
knowledge to help people both physically and mentally.
